Engineering Final Exam

Explain how you would approach the organizer project differently now that you have completed this course. Use examples of steps you would take again and decisions you would make differently. Get specific!

The project that I made with the organizer was the mr. connors organizer located in his room next to his desk. When we relate to our original design to the outcome, they are completely different. It was not 100% accurate. I would also have changed the typed of would once I got a prototyped perfect. I would also change the size of the organizer. A redesign process is definalty needed with a feedback of our audience. I would change the process to a lot slower one so I know I get the best accuracy and precision. If I would do the project again, I would think of a smaller and more realistic project.

What was the most useful thing you learned from this course?

The most useful thing that I learned in this class is how to use the shopbot. The shopbot is probably the most fun I've had in the 4 years of high school. I highly regret learning this machine the last semester of my senior year. Ive learned so much and I could imagine what I could learn if I was familiar with it freshman year. I have made a lot of stuff out of the shopbot including my computer, signs, faces, prom decorations, etc.

What was the most surprising thing you learned from this course?

The most surprising thing I learned in this course is the fact I know I can build a wooden computer. This is the favorite thing I have done in my high school career because I highly enjoyed making it because Im going to school next year for computer engineering. Building the computer gave me a lot of information about the engineer process and how i had to change a lot of things along the way. There is not a lot that I woould change next time around. I thought it was a successful project and I would recommending doing it again next year for another student.
